Text Advice From One of the Nation's Most Successful Head Coaches!

I received a text this morning from a college coach of a NCAA I top ten cross country and track & field program. I asked him what advice he would give current prospects in regard to the recruiting process. His response was a simple, "Don't just shoot for the best possible school, but rather find the place that is right for you.." Check out this video - a wonderfully insightful article for parents and prospects to read. Malcolm Gladwell gives amazing insight into why it may be more important to find the right for you as opposed to simply shooting for the best school possible. In my experience as a coach, I observed this extend beyond science and math majors. I feel the same held true within our program.
